Letter Building

Inspired by the artist Corriette Schoenaerts, i made a the word pink out of two matchboxes, all of their matches, some tape and the shop around me. Firstly the p; it was randomly taped together; i curved a piece of the box and taped it to a whole box, it was simple. My i was created purely of tape and matchsticks; it kept falling apart, (the tape wasn't sticky enough). I made the n by ripping up one of the draws of the box and taping it together. then the k was the easiest because all i done was push two matchsticks into a matchbox. Finally i took the tape and taped my letters onto a bit of glass stuck out of the floor.

then we built giant words in teams, using more space, so we chose the word space. Making a letter each, well surposed to be, we chose our area and used lots of cardboard boxes, the hanging wire and a pole stuck out of the ground to build our space letters. It was inspirng to be able to spred out our work, using the rooms as a part of our art.
